GLAZE
Tuesday,
June 10th, after an illness of six weeks, at his home, Conyers, Ga.,
R. F. D. 3, death claimed Mr. Thomas Washington Glaze. He, a native of
Cherokee county, North Carolina, was born in September, 1863, making
him, at time of passing, 72 years and nine months old. He was the
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Wesley Glaze, and was a man held
in high esteem by hundreds who knew him. For many years, he was a
member of Lenora Baptist Church, but it was from the Walnut Grove
Methodist church, the funeral rites occurred at 2:00 o'clock, June
12th, Revs. D. S. Bailey and Grady Glaze being in charge. Interment,
The E. L. Almand Company in charge, was in the churchyard cemetery.
Besides
his devoted consort, Mrs. Betty Johnson Glaze, the deceased leaves
six children; Albert Glaze, Conyers, Ga., R. F. D.; Luther Glaze,
Lithonia R. F. D.; Mrs. Nellie Thomas, Lithonia R. F. D.; Mrs.
Azalee
Rutledge Conyers Ga.; Mrs. D. G. Haynie, Atlanta. He also leaves
three brothers and two sisters as follows; Irvin Glaze, Atlanta;
George and Homer Glaze, also of Atlanta; Mrs. Bethanie Pratt,
Atlanta, and Mrs. Lucy Raymie, Conyers, R. F. D.; to all of whom we
extend our sympathy.
