CLAUDE
RAMSDEN GLAZE
Age 84, of Stone Mountain died February 23, 2003 after a long illness. He
was the son of James David Glaze and Violet Ramsden Glaze and had worked
with the Southern Railway for many years before becoming a Legislative
Representative for the union he had been a member of for so long, The
Brotherhood of Railway Airline and Steamship Clerks (today known as TCU). He
was affectionately known as "Stoney" to many of his friends and
co-workers. He was very proud of his military service in the U.S. Army Air
Force during WWII and his photography service that he provided to so many
newlyweds, friends, church, and co-workers. As a golfer, he was unrivaled!
Mr. Glaze was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rachel Brown Glaze, also
of Stone Mountain. He is survived by his sons, in Stone Mountain, Chuck
Glaze and Wes, and his wife, Lisa Glaze; his daughter, Becky and husband
Ronnie Pound of Covington; 5 grandchildren; and brother, Robert and wife
Peggy Glaze of Eastanollee, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,
11:00 a.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home located at 2773 N.
Decatur Rd., GA 30033, Rev. David Fox and Dr. Rickey Brantley officiating.
Interment will be at Melwood Cemetery located at 5170 E. Ponce de Leon Ave.,
Stone Mountain, GA 30083.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
