Glaze Family History

Linnie Ruth Glaze was born on September 18, 1916 in Walton County, Georgia to the late James David Glaze and Violet Ramsden Glaze, formerly of Stone Mountain. She was their third child.
She did not go by the name of Linnie, but was known as Ruth to all who knew her. Her nephews and nieces (and great nephews and nieces) all knew her as Aunt Ruth. She occasionally worked as a housekeeper and child care giver in the homes of her nephews James Eugene Glaze and Ray Edward Glaze.
She lived virtually her whole life at home with her mother, Violet Ramsden Glaze. After her mother died she went to live with her sister Edna Glaze Shiver. She lived with them for twelve years, in Covington, Georgia, where she was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and also attended Porterdale Baptist Church.
Ruth Glaze passed away April 13, 2001 at the age of 84.
