Owen Richard Glaze was born July 21, 1897 in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was the seventh child of Thomas Washington Glaze and Nancy Bethena Johnson. He was married to Bevie Lee Hornbuckle November 3, 1918 at the Lenora Baptist Church, Gwinnett Co., Georgia.
