Wednesday Night SuppersWhen we think of “breaking bread” at Kingswood, our thoughts often turn to Jesus as he broke the loaf of bread and turned to his disciples, saying, “Eat this in remembrance of me.” It is an historic moment and a poignant message of fellowship for Christians. Kingswood’s Wednesday Night Suppers reflect this desire to share food and fellowship among our members, their neighbors and any others in the community who seek the camaraderie and warmth of a good meal among friends. A typical supper often finds whole families gathering together with newlyweds, singles and empty-nesters, swapping stories about work or home, growing up or growing old, and virtually everything else in between. It’s a rare moment that allows you to kick back, relax and enjoy the many diverse and interesting people around you. You need not be a member of Kingswood to attend these suppers, and we encourage everyone to join us. Held on the third Wednesday of each month in the aptly named Fellowship Hall, dinner typically begins at 5:45 p.m. and is followed at 6:45 p.m. with a special entertainment program that changes month to month. Costs to attend are kept at a minimum thanks to our volunteers and include $7 for each adult and youth, $3 for each child and a $20 family maximum that includes two adults or youths, and four children.
